Tools You Can Trust

When you’re looking for quality tools for adventure and tinkering, details matter. Precision, durability, and thoughtful design aren’t optional—they’re what turn curiosity into capability. Teal Tree exists for people who care about how things work and expect their tools to keep up. If you value well-made gear built for hands-on exploration, you’re in the right place.

Built on Experience

Teal Tree was founded by Lisa, a product designer with a professional background in mortise and tubular lock product development and years of experience bringing carefully engineered products from concept to reality. Her work has always centered on understanding systems—and designing products that are reliable, intuitive, and built to last.

Outside the workshop, Lisa draws inspiration from the West Michigan outdoors, where hands-on problem solving and time spent outside go hand in hand. She’s passionate about supporting people in their hobbies and interests with products that feel considered, capable, and thoughtfully made.

Along the way, Lisa has benefited from advice and shared expertise from her brother Jim, who previously ran Zero Day Gear and brings deep industry knowledge. Teal Tree is independently owned and operated but informed by years of practical experience and insight.

Always Evolving

Fun fact: Teal Tree originally began as a community-focused art studio nearly 20 years ago. Over time, it evolved—shaped by creativity, curiosity, and a belief that good tools (and good ideas) bring people together.

Today, Teal Tree has grown into the company you see now, focused on supporting makers, tinkerers, and adventurers with well-designed items built for real use. Change is good, growth is intentional, and we’re excited to support what you’re building next.
